The article discovers the impact of hardiness on motivation and productivity of trade organizations’ staff during the transformation period. A number of problems affecting the management system in retail are highlighted, and proposals for their resolution to maintain a balance in the labor market are presented. As a result of the study, the importance of growing hardiness of corporations while maintaining the proper level of staff motivation is revealed. A model interpreting the dependence of working behavior, motivation, and hardiness of organizations has been compiled. The scientific and theoretical provisions are studied, and the author's conclusions are given.
