This paper presents a solar-powered smart cold storage system designed for small vegetable vendors to reduce post-harvest losses. The system utilizes solar energy to operate a thermoelectric cooling unit and maintain an optimal temperature range between 4°C and 10°C. A microcontroller continuously monitors temperature and humidity using sensors, while a Node MCU module enables real-time IoT-based monitoring. The system is portable, cost-effective, and eco-friendly. It helps vendors preserve vegetables for a longer duration, reduce spoilage, and improve their income. The proposed system is suitable for rural and roadside markets where electricity availability is limited.
