In patients with severe functional mitral regurgitation and LVEF ≤35% undergoing TEER, afterload mismatch increases in-hospital mortality but does not affect long-term outcomes, while levosimendan and higher furosemide doses may offer protective effects against its development.
Among patients with LVEF ≤35% and severe FMR undergoing TEER, AM was associated with in-hospital mortality but did not impact long-term outcomes. Proportionate MR increased the risk of AM, while pretreatment with levosimendan and higher furosemide doses was protective.
