The paper proposes a novel method for a hybrid power generation system, which uses the PV method for power generation. The PV method for power generation uses solar cells to generate power directly from solar radiation, but a major portion of the power is dissipated as heat. The proposed method uses the waste heat to generate power using the Seebeck method of power generation, which uses a thermoelectric generator to generate power from the heat dissipation of the solar cells. The proposed method of power generation is more efficient than the PV method of power generation, as the power generated from the waste heat increases the overall power generation efficiency of the proposed method of power generation. The increased efficiency of hybrid generator is around 5 to 10% more than conventional solar cells.
