The methodology of experimental studies of pine and spruce wooden beams of solid section under prolonged wetting in fresh and marine environments under short-term loads is presented. Experimental studies were conducted under the following operating conditions. Based on the results obtained, averaged values of the bearing capacity were determined. The features of the work and the nature of the destruction of bending elements after prolonged wetting are presented. It is established that the influence of fresh and marine water environments significantly worsens the bearing capacity of beams of solid section.
