Abstract The assay of Imatinib Mesylate (ITM) and Oseltamivir Phosphate (OSP) in bulk and tablet dosage form has been created in a simple, sensitive, accurate and cost-effective spectrophotometric process. This is done by oxidizing the drugs with a known excess of known excess of Ceric Ammonium Sulphate (Ce (IV)) in sulphuric acid medium. The number of unreacted Ce (IV) is estimated with Methylene Blue dye at the wavelengths of 664 nm. The process is in accordance with the Beer law at 321 mcg mL -1 (ITM) and 3.524.5 mcg mL -1 (OSP). Standard parameters of validation like LOD, LOQ, accuracy, precision, robustness and ruggedness were verified in line with ICH requirements. The process exhibited high recovery (>99 100) and low percentage RSD (< 2) that suggest that the method is applicable in the field of pharmaceutical routine analysis. Subjects: Spectrophotometry, Cerium (IV), Methylene Blue, Imatinib, Oseltamivir, Validation.
