SHGs are today essential structures towards ensuring financial inclusion, as well as improving the financial position of the community, especially women. This study has been conducted through a pilot study research method towards analyzing the financial aspect of an identified SHG. Issues such as the challenges faced by the SHG, revenue generation, loans and savings and financial management have all been looked into. Data collection was done systematically via a questionnaire, while data analysis has been done using descriptive method. The findings show a stable saving pattern and effective financial management by the SHG together with active participation of the members during decision making. Nevertheless, problems such as limited resources, lack of investment opportunities and poor marketing have restricted its overall growth. Even though the SHG is doing well, it should be noted that proper financial planning will ensure sustainability.
