A Complete Photonic-Ternary Computing Stack: From SWCNT@MWCNT Device to Compiled Operating System (THATTEOS)

I present a complete balanced ternary computing stack spanning six layers—from a simulation-confirmed photonic carbon nanotube device through a compiled operating system. The foundational element is a metallic (8, 8) armchair single-wall carbon nanotube (SWCNT) coaxially enclosed within a (13, 13) multi-wall carbon nanotube (MWCNT). Non-equilibrium Green's function (NEGF) quantum transport simulation confirms three cleanly separated current states: +74 μA, 0 μA, and −74 μA at 0. 5 V bias, encoding balanced ternary trit values +1, 0, −1 with a signal-to-noise ratio exceeding 2000 (54 dB). Atop this device, I describe a passive current-summing gate library, a photon-clocked processor with a balanced ternary instruction set (T3ISA), a ferroelectric memory hierarchy with a hardware trit-trie search circuit, ternary cryptographic primitives, and a purpose-built programming language (ManiT) with a dual-target compiler and microkernel operating system (THATTEOS) —all implemented and verified. Six patent applications covering the full stack have been filed with the Indian Patent Office.
