Does wide antral pulmonary vein isolation prevent total atrial tachyarrhythmia recurrence compared to ostial pulmonary vein isolation?
Wide antral pulmonary vein isolation provides better long-term freedom from atrial tachyarrhythmia recurrence compared to the ostial approach.
Our primary finding is that PVI performed with a wide antral approach is more effective than ostial PVI in achieving freedom from total atrial tachyarrhythmia recurrence at long-term follow-up.
