A methodology is proposed for conducting regular diagnostics of the furnace unit of hot‑rolling mills as a necessary measure to ensure the efficient operation of the main equipment used to produce high‑quality rolled products. Prompt diagnostics will allow identification of the root causes of furnace problems, ensure continuous efficient operation, and minimize fuel and electricity consumption, environmentally harmful emissions, and, most importantly, maximize the enterprise’s profit.
