The proposed publication analyzes, from sociolinguistic and lexicographic perspectives, the key words of 2022–2023 as realities of contemporary global existence; provides a comprehensive characterization of lexical-semantic innovations and neo-phraseology of this period; highlights and interprets the linguistic markers of post-folklore wartime discourse; identifies graphoderivational features and outlines the nominative and axiological perspectives of the modern Russian–Ukrainian war; reveals the specifics of the evolution of the periphrastic sphere “Contemporary Military Events in Ukraine”; systematically presents a lexicographic corpus of political, military, and other descriptive expressions of the studied chronological segment; and distinguishes and describes the specific features of Ukrainians’ linguistic creativity. Intended for researchers, lecturers, journalists, philology students, students of the humanities, and all those interested in the current state of the Ukrainian language.
