Abstract Intussusception is a rare but serious cause of intestinal obstruction in neonatal lambs. This case report describes a 10‐day‐old male Afshari lamb presenting with diarrhoea and clinically diagnosed enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli infection. Postmortem examination revealed complete telescoping of the caecum into the colon, extending into the mid‐portion of the spiral colon. The spiral colon was contracted, malpositioned, and formed multiple concentric serosal rings. Histopathology of the necrotic caecum showed congestion, extensive haemorrhage, oedema, villous and glandular destruction, necrosis, and mild inflammatory infiltration. This case highlights a potential pathophysiological link between enterotoxigenic E. coli ‐induced enteritis and altered intestinal motility, which may predispose neonatal lambs to caecocolic intussusception. Recognition of this association can improve early diagnosis and intervention, and may guide preventive strategies in neonatal ruminants at risk of severe enteric infections. This report represents the first documented case of caecocolic intussusception associated with enterotoxigenic colibacillosis in a neonatal lamb.
