Abstract: Geriatric Nursing (ISSN 3105-658X, eISSN 3105-6598, CODEN: LHABA5, DOI prefix: https://doi.org/10.66106/ lhaba5), an international journal co-founded by Quest Press Limited and MSFMP, has recently been officially indexed by Baidu Scholar (https://xueshu.baidu.com), achieving full-text inclusion and AI-powered dissemination of the journal's research outputs. Launched in June 2014, Baidu Scholar is a free academic resource search platform under Baidu Inc., dedicated to contributing resource retrieval technology and big data mining and analysis capabilities to academic research, optimizing the academic resource ecosystem, and guiding academic value innovation. Since its launch, Baidu Scholar has become the largest academic search engine in China. In August 2025, Baidu Scholar underwent an AI restructuring, launching dozens of new AI capabilities including AI academic search, AI literature summarization, AI reading, and paper knowledge graphs, successfully transforming into a one-stop AI academic platform. Baidu Scholar has indexed over 1.04 million domestic and international academic sites, indexed more than 2.7 billion academic resource pages, and built a collection of over 700 million academic documents including journals, conference papers, dissertations, patents, and books, making it the largest academic platform in terms of global literature coverage. This inclusion in Baidu Scholar represents a strategic initiative for the journal to embrace artificial intelligence technology, expand intelligent dissemination channels, and enhance academic visibility, which is highly aligned with Baidu Scholar's mission of “optimizing the academic resource ecosystem and guiding academic value innovation.” Adopting the gold open access (Gold OA) publishing model and complying with the CC BY 4.0 license, the journal provides permanent free access to all full-text articles. This article systematically introduces the core functions and AI capabilities of the Baidu Scholar platform, as well as the journal's basic information, academic positioning, and development vision, aiming to provide comprehensive academic guidance for global geriatric nursing researchers and to promote the leapfrog development of geriatric nursing toward intelligence, precision, and internationalization in the era of artificial intelligence.
