Deliverable report D7.7 of the EU Horizon 2020 Project OPTAIN (Grant agreement No. 862756). D7.7 presents the final version of the OPTAIN Learning Environment website. Summary: Deliverable D7.7 presents the final and consolidated version of the OPTAIN Learning Environment (LE) - the project’s digital knowledge platform and one of its Key Exploitable Results. The LE has been developed to translate OPTAIN’s multidisciplinary scientific outputs into a digital environment that is accessible, structured and decision-support-oriented. It integrates research findings, modelling and optimisation results, case study insights, policy analysis and communication materials within a single interactive platform. Since the intermediate version was documented in deliverable D7.4, the LE has reached full operational maturity. The platform is based on a multi-layered digital architecture that combines a hierarchical structure with thematic pathways and bidirectional cross-linking. This design enables both guided learning and flexible exploration, ensuring consistency and comparability between bio-geographical regions. Beyond its technical features, the LE provides a structured pathway from scientific evidence to practical implementation and governance integration. By linking modelling feasibility, real-world case studies and policy frameworks, it supports informed decision-making and contributes to the mainstreaming of Natural/Small Water Retention Measures (NSWRM) across Europe. As a long-term digital legacy of the project, the LE ensures continued access to knowledge, supports replication and capacity building, and strengthens the interface between research, practice and policy beyond the project’s duration.
