Aircraft engines require high-performance components capable of operating under extreme thermal, mechanical, and aerodynamic conditions. Fan and compressor blades are critical components that influence engine performance, efficiency and safety. Traditional metallic blades face several challenges such as high weight, corrosion and fatigue failure. To overcome these challenges hybrid composite blade is used in aircraft engine. This report presents a review of hybrid composite materials used in fan and compressor blades, their advantages, and the role of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques in improving reliability. The study highlights various research works focusing on mechanical, thermal, and aerodynamic performance of hybrid composites. It also discusses the limitations and research gaps in this field.
