The first complete description of the genus Bugrovella Zakrevskaya 2025 is given to supplement and expand the former brief description. The type species of Bugrovella was previously described in the genus Sphaerogypsina (Bugrova, 1989). This genus is found in the Lower Eocene of Crimea, Central Asia (Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan) and the Northern Caucasus. The new genus is assigned to the family Acervulinidae. The assemblage of accompanying large benthic and planktonic foraminifera, as well as nannoplankton found in sections of Crimea, Caucasus and Turkmenistan, made it possible to place the Beds with Bugrovella in the Middle Ypresian SBZ10, P6-7 and NP12 zones.
