The neuroscience of creativity has identified robust empirical markers of the insight experience — a gamma-band burst in the right anterior temporal lobe (Jung-Beeman et al., 2004), Default Mode Network activation during incubation (Beaty et al., 2014), and a discrete DMN-to-ECN transition at the moment of solution (Beaty et al., 2016) — but lacks a unified structural model accounting for the full temporal arc of the creative process. The four-phase model of Wallas (1926) provides the classical phenomenological framework but lacks formal grounding. We propose that the G6–X–Q9–N cycle of the Kiawe Epistemological Framework provides this structural foundation. Incubation corresponds to the G6 phase (DMN dominance, symmetric associative potential); the insight event corresponds to operator X (discrete symmetry-breaking transition, gamma-burst signature); the verified solution corresponds to Q9 (ECN consolidation); integration corresponds to N (return and re-incorporation). The involutive property X² = −Id formally accounts for the all-or-none, sudden character of insight. The framework situates creative insight within the tradition of symmetry-breaking models in complex systems (Anderson, 1972; Prigogine, 1980; Kauffman, 1995) and derives three verifiable predictions distinguishing it from existing accounts.
