The effect of a corrosive medium under tensile conditions on mechanical properties and fracture kinetics of martensitic 15Kh13N2 steel is studied using the acoustic emission and digital image correlation methods. The estimations are made for the degradation criteria including bAE parameter, the activity of acoustic emission signals { {N}{₀₄}}, their summary number ΣNAE, the maximum value of the principal strain ε1max, and the plastic zone area, which decrease after holding of the samples in an H2S medium. The observed changes demonstrate an increase in the mean defect sizes and an increase in the damage of the material under study.
