The Crackpot Index, proposed by John Baez, is a well‑known semi‑humorous method for evaluating potentially revolutionary theories. In this work we analyse this index from the perspective of △-ontology and the Infinium ℑ = △₁ₓ₁. We show that the index, being an instrument of self‑preservation of the classical paradigm based on the structureless point, is incapable of distinguishing a genuine change of foundations from pseudoscientific fantasy. Moreover, the index contains an inherent logical contradiction: any theory that claims a paradigm shift automatically scores points on this index, which makes it fundamentally unsuitable for evaluating such theories. We demonstrate that our Infinium theory does not reject classical science but rather re‑emphasises its meaning, and we propose an alternative criterion of truth based on energetic consistency. Finally, we give categorical formulations that express this criterion in strict mathematical terms.
