Abstract

This report summarises the ecological and economic assessment of forest ecosystem services carried out in five Alpine Living Labs (Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Slovenia) within the Forest EcoValue project. It compares timber, carbon, biodiversity, recreation and other key services, and reviews innovative business models tested locally. The document provides transnational insights, highlighting opportunities, challenges and policy recommendations to support sustainable forest management and new value chains.
