This article examines the impact of innovation on economic growth in Russia. The main objective of the work is to identify the relationship between the level of innovation activity and indicators of economic development of the country, as well as to analyze the current state of the innovation environment and possible ways to improve it. The study includes an analysis of theoretical approaches to the study of innovation and its role in economic growth, an overview of the state of the innovation sector in Russia, including government programs and barriers faced by innovation projects. The methodological basis of the study is analytical and comparative methods that allow us to assess the contribution of innovation to economic growth in Russia and offer recommendations for improving the effectiveness of innovation policy. The results of the study show that, despite the existing problems, innovation can become a catalyst for economic growth provided that the investment climate is improved and targeted support measures are developed. Recommendations include strengthening government support, developing infrastructure and creating conditions for international technological cooperation with friendly countries and organizations.
