The fieldwork followed the procedures set out in the approved Written Scheme of Investigation (WSI) for the project (ULAS 2024). All work was carried out in accordance with the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (CIfA) Standard and Guidance for Archaeological Watching Briefs (updated 2020) and Code of Conduct (updated 2022) https://www.archaeologists.net/codes/cifa . The Event number ENN 111412 was used to identify all records. Fieldwork was carried out by ULAS between 8th and 13th May 2024 and was followed by post-excavation and reporting. Archaeological attendance and recording were undertaken during the groundworks. The works revealed a uniform deposit of garden soil overlying natural clay. The mixed character of the garden soil reflected the use of the site as allotments over a period of time. No archaeology was present.
