In this paper, the researcher addresses some of the issues presented in the literature about assessing students online. Particularly included in this text are concerns about academic dishonesty taking place while administering a webbased test. The researcher has completed a study to determine if online testing is being used and if the faculty have concerns about e-cheating. In addition participants were asked what measures they are taking to prevent this form of cheating, if any. Results indicate that over half of the faculty are using online assessment and that there is some concern about online cheating, but the majority of them are not proactively implementing measures to prevent it.
