NIR-Triggered Drug Release Fibers In their Research Article (DOI: 10.1002/adfm.75088), Jung Seung Lee, Jaehong Lee, Taeyoon Lee, and co-workers developed a stretchable, conductive CuSe-based photothermal fiber for wearable devices and implantable drug release systems. The implanted NIR-triggered drug release fiber (NDRF) generates heat via external NIR laser irradiation. This photothermal effect induces the release of therapeutic drugs directly from the NDRF, promoting disease treatment.
