The rapid expansion of digital banking services has transformed the traditional banking system by providing customers with faster, more convenient, and technology-driven financial services. The present study examines the role of gender in adopting e-banking services among college-going students of Indore district. The study focuses on five major dimensions influencing e-banking adoption, namely Bank Digitalisation, Ease of Operation, Customer Security, Customer Grievance Handling, and Difficulty & Challenges. Primary data were collected from 394 respondents through a structured questionnaire using Likert scale statements. Appropriate statistical tools were applied to analyse the collected data and examine gender-based differences in e-banking adoption behaviour. The findings of the study reveal that male students exhibit comparatively higher perception levels towards bank digitalisation and customer grievance handling mechanisms than female students. However, both genders demonstrated relatively similar perceptions regarding ease of operation, customer security, and challenges associated with e-banking services. The study highlights that while technological adaptation among students is increasing rapidly, gender-based differences still exist in selected dimensions of digital banking usage. The research suggests that banks and financial institutions should focus on strengthening digital awareness, improving customer support systems, and developing gender-inclusive banking strategies to enhance the adoption of e-banking services among young consumers.
