The Mathematics Anxiety Rating Scale for Adolescents (MARS-A) was translated into Arabic and administered to five classes ( n= 133) of Lebanese junior and senior high school students. The scores of the students were correlated with their semester grades in physics, chemistry, and mathematics, as well as with their overall grade point average (GPA). As the correlations accounted for moderate portions of the shared variance between the MARS-A and the aforementioned achievement measures, it was suggested that the MARS-A should be included in the assessment batteries of Lebanese practitioners.
