Data used to create the plots in the manuscript “Reduced Longwave Absorption of Magnesium Sulfate Aerosol as an Alternative to Sulfuric Acid for Stratospheric Aerosol Injection.” The study compares the optical properties and radiative forcing of gel-phase magnesium sulfate and sulfuric acid aerosols under stratospheric conditions relevant to solar radiation modification. The dataset includes optical trapping measurements, infrared optical constants, and radiative transfer calculations used in the manuscript.
