Abstract This article examines some of the changes that have taken place within world C hristianity in the last century, particularly in A frica, and as reflected in various articles of the I nternational R eview of M ission ( IRM ) over the past 100 years. These changes include a shift in the demographic centre of C hristianity from the N orth to the S outh, and the rise and development of P entecostalism. This relates to A fricans becoming disenchanted with aspects of mission C hristianity that were unable to work with indigenous enchanted worldviews.
