Abstract

With the rapid development of generative artificial intelligence (AIGC) technology, its design application in the intangible cultural heritage (ICH) cultural industry is becoming a key force in promoting cultural inheritance and innovation. The purpose of this study is to systematically explore the application mode, technical path, and impact on the industrial ecology of AIGC technology in the field of intangible cultural heritage design. Through literature review and case analysis, this article summarizes the current application status of AIGC in digital protection of intangible cultural heritage, innovative design of patterns, development of cultural and creative products, and construction of immersive experiences. The research focuses on constructing a generative design framework based on "data algorithm design", and compares and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of three mainstream technical paths: general large model, fine-tuning model (LoRA), and style transfer model. The experimental results show that the fine-tuning model based on LoRA performs the best in cultural feature restoration, while the style transfer model has more advantages in cross-border fusion innovation. The study also found that AIGC technology effectively promotes the "living" inheritance and market-oriented transformation of intangible cultural heritage by improving design efficiency and reducing creative barriers. However, technological applications also face ethical challenges such as data bias, copyright ownership, and cultural dilution. Finally, this article proposes that in the future, a co creation mechanism of "human-machine collaboration" should be established, and blockchain technology should be used to solve digital copyright issues, in order to achieve sustainable development of intangible cultural heritage.
