Cybersecurity risks have grown more sophisticated and common as businesses depend more on cloud computing, mobile devices, remote work technologies, and networked systems. Modern cyberattacks frequently take advantage of the assumption made by traditional perimeter-based security architectures, which is that users within a network can be trusted. In response to these changing threats, Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) was developed. In order to investigate how Zero Trust Architecture enhances enterprise network security, this study reviews around twenty peer-reviewed research articles. This paper examines the fundamental ideas of Zero Trust, its usefulness in business settings, its advantages, and the difficulties organizations encounter when putting it into practice using secondary data from previous research. The study comes to the conclusion that, while careful preparation is important for successful deployment, Zero Trust Architecture represents a necessary shift in enterprise cybersecurity strategy.
