Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is widely used in domestic and industrial applications due to its high efficiency and clean combustion. However, leakage of LPG poses a serious threat to life and property, as it is highly flammable and can lead to fire accidents or explosions. To overcome this problem, this project proposes an LPG Gas Leakage Detection System with Auto-Off Mechanism. The system is designed to continuously monitor the presence of LPG in the surrounding environment using a gas sensor. When the concentration of gas exceeds a predefined safe limit, the sensor detects the leakage and sends a signal to the control unit. The control unit immediately activates an alarm to alert the occupants and simultaneously triggers an automatic gas shut-off mechanism to stop further gas flow. This rapid response helps in preventing potential hazards and ensures enhanced safety. The proposed system is simple, cost-effective, reliable, and easy to install in homes, hotels, and industries. It significantly reduces the risk associated with gas leakage by providing early detection and automatic preventive.
