This guide complements the previously published Guidelines for the Organisation of Online Debates, developed under WP2, and presents participation in online debates from the perspective of a student. The guide clarifies the overall structure and rationale of the debates, as well as the skills and competences that learners can develop by taking part in them. The EuroConnect team recommends using both guides together to support the smooth organisation and implementation of transnational debates for those interested in testing this format within their own institutions. The following document has been developed within the framework of the Erasmus+ project Strengthening Civic Competences and EU Democratic Life (EuroConnect), implemented jointly by the University of Tartu, the University of Göttingen, the University of Siena, and the Centre for Creative Development “Danilo Dolci”.
