Cross-border digital trade has emerged as one of the most significant drivers of global economic growth in the digital era. With the rapid expansion of internet connectivity, digital platforms, and online marketplaces, businesses and consumers can now participate in international trade more easily than ever before. Global e-commerce has enabled firms, including small and medium enterprises (SMEs), to access international markets without traditional physical presence. However, cross-border digital trade also faces several challenges such as regulatory differences, cybersecurity risks, data privacy concerns, logistics barriers, and taxation issues. This descriptive research paper examines the concept, growth, opportunities, and challenges of cross-border digital trade and global e-commerce. The study highlights the role of technology, digital platforms, and government policies in facilitating international online trade. It also discusses future trends and policy recommendations for sustainable growth in the global digital marketplace.
