Abstract

AbstractSthanika Chikitsa is an important therapeutic approach in Ayurveda for the management ofvarious gynecological disorders. It includes local treatment modalities such as YoniPrakshalana, Yoni Pichu, Yoni Varti, Yoni Lepana, Yoni Poorana, Yoni Dhoopana, KsharaKarma, and Uttar Basti. These therapies act directly on the affected site, helping to alleviatesymptoms, restore Dosha balance, promote healing, and improve reproductive health. Due tothe rich vascularity and absorptive capacity of the vaginal mucosa, these treatments provideeffective local and systemic benefits. When performed under proper indications and asepticprecautions, Sthanika Chikitsa serves as a safe, cost-effective, and minimally invasivetreatment option in Stree Roga.
