This article examines Virtual Exchange (VE) as a pedagogical approach for fostering intercultural learning and plurilingual practices in higher education. Drawing on translingual practices and transnational pedagogy, it analyses four VE initiatives that demonstrate how multimodal and multilingual collaboration can support intercultural dialogue and interdisciplinary knowledge construction. The discussion highlights how task design can foster the mobilisation of diverse linguistic repertoires and digital resources for meaning-making across contexts. By situating VE within a critical framework of internationalisation at home, the article argues that well-designed virtual exchanges can create inclusive and transformative learning spaces and contribute to a plurilingual curriculum.
