Achieving this goal requires strong participation from educational institutions, especially colleges, which play a crucial role in shaping responsible citizens and future leaders. This research paper examines the contribution of colleges in promoting social responsibility as an important element of nation building. It highlights the role of higher education institutions in developing skills, encouraging innovation, promoting ethical values, and engaging students in community service activities. Through academic programs, research initiatives, and social outreach, colleges can empower students to address societal challenges and contribute to sustainable development. The study concludes that strengthening the role of colleges in fostering social responsibility among youth is essential for achieving the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
