India and South Korea share a rich cultural heritage and deep historical connections. Recently, bothcountries have emerged as cultural capitals in their own ways, and their soft power is significantly appreciatedglobally. The growing cultural proximity between the two nations has emerged as a significant factor in shaping theeconomic and trade relations of both countries. This paper analyses the impact of soft power and cultural power onthe economic relations between the two countries. This would also highlight the significance of informal connectionsin establishing formal ties between India and South Korea.
