Industrial steel structures exposed to combined wind, snow, and seismic loading require precise multi-case analysis to secure permits and ensure long-term performance. This case study presents the structural optimization strategy developed for a two-story steel observation tower in Idaho. The project required iterative member-size optimization, clash detection at complex node geometries, and full compliance with AISC 360-16. Through coordinated load analysis, BIM clash resolution, and permit ready documentation, the project team delivered a clash-free, cost-efficient structural package ready for fabrication.
