A literature survey was conducted on the transition of standards and test methods of recycled aggregates for concrete. Before the establishment of JIS standards for recycled aggregates, various standards of recycled aggregates had been created by different organizations. However, with the establishment of JIS standards, the standards of each organization have been unified to cite JIS. It appears that overseas standards were not heavily referenced during the development of these standards. Rational and efficient test methods have been developed to evaluate the quality of recycled aggregates. However, there appears to be room for further improvement, particularly regarding tests for impurities.
