The Concept of Citizenship as a Traditional Spiritual and Moral Value and Its Place in the Criminal Legislation of the Russian Federation

The article is devoted to the analysis of the concept of citizenship in order to admit its presence as a traditional spiritual and moral value in the legal system. Based on the analysis of the concept of citizenship prevailing in branch sciences, as well as in legislation in the field of strategic planning, the author comes to the conclusion that it is permissible to consider this element of traditional values in the format "citizenship – civil identity – citizenship of the Russian Federation". Such a construction is justified when applying the norms of criminal legislation providing for liability in the form of termination of citizenship, such a decision of the legislator is justified from the position of civil identity.
