This study takes a cross-cultural perspective to make a comparative analysis of eastern and western aesthetic ideas and then makes an in-depth discussion on aesthetic education pattern, curriculum system and teaching strategy of different countries or regions. By systematically sorting mainstream aesthetic education theories in China and western countries, thoroughly analyzing practical cases, and investigating the status quo in communication and acceptance of western aesthetic education theories in China, this study aims to reveal the universality and difference of aesthetic education in different cultural contexts. It also discusses how to effectively learn from international experiences to foster self-confidence in Chinese culture.
