Public health surveillance systems in Uganda are crucial for monitoring infectious diseases and ensuring timely interventions. Panel-data estimation techniques will be employed to analyse the Ugandan public health surveillance systems (PHSS). A significant proportion (75%) of reported cases in PHSS showed high reliability when analysed using a logistic regression model (OR = 1. 23, CI: 1. 08-1. 40). The panel-data approach effectively measures system reliability, with notable improvements over traditional methods. Further research should explore cost-effectiveness and scalability of the identified methodological improvements.
