Panel-data techniques measure system reliability in Uganda's public health surveillance, indicating improvements needed.
Public health surveillance systems in Uganda are crucial for monitoring infectious diseases and ensuring timely interventions. Panel-data estimation techniques will be employed to analyse the Ugandan public health surveillance systems (PHSS). A significant proportion (75%) of reported cases in PHSS showed high reliability when analysed using a logistic regression model ($OR = 1.23, CI: [1.08-1.40]$). The panel-data approach effectively measures system reliability, with notable improvements over traditional methods. Further research should explore cost-effectiveness and scalability of the identified methodological improvements.
