Key Points

• This study aims to analyze the biometric characteristics of Senna reticulata fruits and seeds to aid identification and management.
• Collected 100 fruits and seeds from trees in Belém, Pará, Amazonia.
• Analyzed biometric variables including length, width, and thickness of fruits and seeds.
• Conducted germination characterization for the collected seeds.
• Fruits averaged 12.96 cm in length, 1.45 cm in width, and 0.22 cm in thickness, with an average of 33 seeds per fruit.
• Seeds averaged 6.42 mm in length, 2.32 mm in width, and 1.74 mm in thickness, with a water content of 9.9% and weight of 19 g per thousand seeds.
• Germination starts from the 2nd day, with young plants forming after 33 days, suitable for cultivation.
