Abstract As the beef industry navigates a rapidly evolving landscape, the importance of cultivating a resilient and skilled workforce has never been greater. Shifting dynamics of labor and leadership within the agricultural sector highlights the critical role of youth development and mentorship in securing the future of beef production.Beef breed associations are uniquely positioned to offer career path development opportunities for their youth membership. With the support of their foundations, associations are able to support programs that aim to empower the next generation of industry leaders. With scholarships, internships, online and in-person education, leadership development, networking, and mentoring opportunities, these programs are designed to expose youth to the diversity of career opportunities in agriculture, bridge generational gaps and ensure continuity of excellence in cattle production.
