The Effectiveness of Phonics-Based Instruction in Developing English Pronunciation Skills Among Primary School Learners

This article examines the effectiveness of phonics-based instruction in developing English pronunciation skills among primary school learners. Phonics is recognized as an essential approach that helps young learners establish relationships between letters and sounds, thereby improving pronunciation accuracy and reading fluency. The study explores the theoretical foundations of phonics instruction and its practical application in primary English language classrooms. Particular attention is given to the role of phonics activities in enhancing learners’ phonemic awareness, sound discrimination, and oral communication skills.
