From these fossils—body fossils, trace fossils, chemical fossils—PALAIOS authors have been able to trace the evolution of life on Earth, as well as changes in environments and geography through geological history. Using the research tools employed by SEPM members, we have also been key players in finding the natural resources that have enabled development of our modern society.
