In October–December 2020, a fourth excavation season was conducted at the Church of the Glorious Martyr, located south of Ramat Bet Shemesh and north of the Ela Valley (Permit No. A-8858; map ref. 199139–351/622774–965; Storchan 2021c : Figs. 1, 2: Area C). The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and underwritten by CPM Incorporated, was directed by B. Storchan, with the assistance of N. Nehama (administration), T. Goloubinoff (area supervision), Y. Shmidov (surveying and drafting), S. Halevi (aerial and field photography), S. Freireich (site conservation), O. Shalev and S. Heksher (educational activity), as well as Y. Baruch, Y. Zelinger, A. Shadman and S. Gendler (IAA Jerusalem Region).
