This paper presents the Universal Resonance Model (URM), a conceptual framework describing disease progression as a dynamic systems process characterized by loss of resilience, increasing variability, and resonance between interacting physiological subsystems. The article defines the core principles of URM and situates the model within established theories of complex systems, resilience, and early-warning signals. The full theoretical and mathematical development of URM is presented in a companion monograph. This work serves as the primary citable reference for the URM framework.
