Abstract

This study examines the adoption rates of eco-friendly livestock management practices among Northern Ethiopian villages. Data was collected through surveys conducted in , with a sample size of 350 households across 20 randomly selected villages. A significant proportion (64%) of respondents adopted at least one eco-friendly practice, with poultry rearing showing the highest adoption rate among livestock species. Eco-friendly practices contribute positively to rural livelihoods and environmental sustainability but require policy support for wider uptake. Government initiatives should focus on providing training and financial incentives to promote these practices more widely.
